[What's this?] In the middle

OK...to me this is quite a sensitive topic to talk about and I think most people would find that as well.

Closed and open minded-ness....

Where should I start! Let's just say I REALLY HATE IT when someone calls me "closed-minded" and not just that, it's worst coming from a close friend. I find it in a way very disrespectful and it shows/tells me that my friend(s) don't accept me for who I am, or what I think and believe in. Isn't that just wrong! Friend(s) are not supposed to be like this. The thing is also I feel that some people misuse this word....a lot!!!! They misuse it because the reason(s) why they'd call someone "Closed-minded" are just simple and stupid (especially the reasons that I get called that "word" for) and don't deserve such a big/harsh word.

Now here's the crazy thing. Some time after being called "closed-minded" or sometimes in the same day some other friend comes and says to me "You're so far away from your culture now...and you've lived in NZ for too long that you've become westernized..."...and this was all said because I decided to learn the guitar, which somewhat gave me an idea that I'm "too open-minded". Is that even a good enough reason to say ALL that stuff...."westernized"? I remember asking that friend...what's the difference between playing a 3ood and a guitar? Aren't they the same family and it's music?! I got "The 3ood is part of our culture" as an answer............

So where does this put me between my friends? It's like I'm stuck in the middle. The too too "open-minded" friend(s) want me to become like them....and at the same time I have those other friends (I don't want to call them close-minded but sometimes...) that think playing a guitar is "westernization" and the feeling that I got -- "open-minded" want me to become like them. This is what I feel...like I'm not accepted by either side =S

Bottom line is...I am who I am and there's no way in hell I'm changing over stupid reasons like the one's above and the ones I didn't mention (here's my stubborn side for yah =P).

That's all!

=D

[Music] So Cold - thesir85

lol...I just had to blog about this!
This is the cover of a song called "So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin (awesome band).
The vocal is great (different), guitar work is awesome, and the drumming...will let the drumming speak for itself xD
Thumbs up to those 2 =D

They totally made this their own B-)

Check out the Original...which totally rocks (dark video)!

[Music] 30 Seconds to Marts - R-Evolve

My play list consists of 2 songs right now xD R-Evolve and Wicked Game....on-repeat!
I've always liked 30 Seconds to Mars but I'm not a hardcore follower like how I am with Three Days Grace. But these guys are not bad at all!

Let the song speak for its self....

I like the verses more than the chorus...but still good I like it A LOT!
This song reminds me of "Hello" by Lionel Richie....<3

[Music] Adam Gontier - Wicked Game

Wow...I can't even stop listening to this song.
When I'm not listening to it I'm thinking about it...YES! It's THAT good.
I don't even know who sings this song originally...but what I can say is Adam Gontier totally ruled this song! <3

The world was on fire and no one could save me but you.
It's strange what desire will make foolish people do.
I never dreamed that I'd meet somebody like you.
And I never dreamed that I knew somebody like you.

No, I want to fall in love.
No, I don't want to fall in love.
With you.

What a wicked game to play, to make me feel this way.
What a wicked thing to do, to make me dream of you.
What a wicked thing to say, you never felt this way.
What a wicked thing to do, to make me dream of you.

No, I don't want to fall in love.
No, I don't want to fall in love.
No, I don't want to fall in love.
No, I don't want to fall in love.
With you.

The world was on fire and no one could save me but you.
It's strange what desire will make foolish people do.

No, I don't want to fall in love
No, I don't want to fall in love
No, I don't want to fall in love
No, I don't want to fall in love
With you.

[Movie] The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2006)

Synopsis

The year is 1969. On one last fling before leaving to serve in the Vietnam War, two brothers, Dean (Handley) and Eric (Bomer), embark on a road trip across Texas with their girlfriends, Chrissie (Brewster) and Bailey (Baird). After their jeep crashes on a deserted highway, the sadistic Sheriff Hoyt (Ermey) mysteriously arrives on the scene. Chrissie hides in the nearby brush as she helplessly watches the sheriff abduct her three friends. Taking them to his secluded house of horrors, Hoyt introduces his new captives to the deranged Hewitt family and their gruesome son, Thomas/Leatherface (Andrew Bryniarski), who has a ravenous appetite for chainsaws and torture. Chrissie becomes an eyewitness to the gory carnage inflicted by Leatherface upon her friends and quickly realizes that she is their only hope of survival.

G-chan's thoughts:

Witness the birth of fear my...e7m e7m...it's more like "witness the birth of GORE!" xD

I watched this movie today and I hated it big time! It freaked me out in a disgusting way (not scary way) and this movie is by far the most movie I've ever gagged (LITERALLY!) in to the point that I started tearing and turning tomato red. I even looked away in a few scene's. So, if you want to get freaked out in a really disgusting way then watch this movie....but don't say I didn't warn you =P

You know "they" should have a new genre/category in/for movies. They should call it GORE instead of just including it with horror!! pffft >.>

Crippled

So...I'm temporarily (hopefully =S) crippled. I have no idea how this happened...but I wish it had happened because I did something cool or dangerous.

My right ankle is badly twisted (don't know how?!?!) that it hurts when I walk, and it hurts while I'm sitting even.

So yesterday morning, I woke up with this massive pain in my right ankle to the point that I couldn't walk properly. During the day the pain eased thankfully. Though when night came this little bruise + bump + pain seemed to develop in/on my right foot! Yes now it's become the whole foot. I managed to sleep normally that night but when I woke up today morning, it had become WORSE. It is very swollen and painful. I couldn't walk much and I had to cancel going to the little picnic that a group of my friends arranged for tomorrow =( My right foot is all bandaged and 7ala...bleeeeh!

This is so weird because I have no idea where this....thing came from or HOW it happened =S *confused* But I know one thing for sure...it sucks big time =S

---------------

I'm really loving playing "Three Days Grace - Never too late" on my guitar. It requires a bit of finger work...so I'm finding it a fun challenge =D

Babies...do they dream?

So today morning, my mother and I went to visit a family to congratulate them on the new born baby girl...aaaaaw! She is so cute, and very tiny! Only a week old. I really really love kids...especially the ages 0-3 years. They're so cute and sweet.

The poor girl was so sleepy, so at one time I just took her, held her in my arms and kind-of rocked her softly to help her sleep while the "older" woman talked at the food table. Seriously, there was something wrong with her =( I just felt that she wasn't feeling good. She'd fall asleep, then wake up from some pain or something. After 10 minutes of holding her and walking around slowly/softly I hear and felt the loudest/biggest FART I've ever heard coming from a BABY at this REALLY small age and size. It went for 5 seconds at least. I just froze on the spot and kind of freaked out for a bit thinking that "something" might've came out and is sitting/smudging on my favorite black sweater xD Thankfully...I think she just had gases....very bad gases. After that little...actually BIG "let out" xD I put her in position that could be comfortable for her...and she slept =)

I just sat there, moving my legs from side to side in a soft/slow way to help her with the sleeping...stared at her and started thinking; "What is she dreaming about?"

Then I started thinking about other related things like:

"Do babies even dream? If they do, what do/could they dream about exactly? Can they have nightmares? Do they even fear "anything" since they don't know what is bad for them or what is scary?"...List goes on. I just sat there looking at her, moving her hands, eyebrows, eyes under eyelids, etc, thinking "What is she seeing right now in her sleep?"....interesting right?

So I decided to do a little research about the whole thing and no body seems to know or explain anything about it. It's all "Unknown". They just assume that babies do dream....

Then I saw her hands, and compared them with mine...
My hands are so giant like xD

Lol! Cute right! <3

A letter....xD

"You have received the enclosed Infringement Notice because you either own, were driving, or were lawfully entitled to a vehicle photographed by approved vehicle surveillance equipment. This notice gives the details of the alleged offense, the infringement fee and methods of payment."

Fee: $80.00 NZ (equivalent to R.O 20.000)
Road/Street: River Road
Time: 16:45 hrs
Speed limit: 50km/h
Speed Alleged: 61km/h
Limit Exceeded by: 11km/h

---------------

So we received this letter from the police saying all that stuff that I wrote up ^ there. You're probably are thinking that I'm the one speeding..........a big fat NO! I don't get caught....that's my secret ;-) It was actually my Mother xD She was absolutely shocked...hehehe. Mama is like a law freak...sticking to the road rules, etc etc, and for this to happen to her just shocked her xD I can't help myself but laugh because I truly wasn't expecting it! I thought the letter was for me at first but since it has the name of the road the "offense" was caught on, it turns out I was "innocent" because I never go down that road xD I started freaking my mom out by telling her she has a criminal record now xD Poor thing she believed me. ROFL!!

Naaah...it's all good. The only thing my mom said is that she wouldn't be going down that road ever again xD

[What's this?] Gangsta Wannabes

"Gangsta" wannabe's....

Let me explain that more clearly.
What I mean by Gangsta wannabe's is those guys that dress up in parachute-y pants + low-riding to the point that they could fall off, t-shirts the size of Mt. Everest (xD) , lots of "bling bling" *rolls eyes*, black sunglasses, a bandanna with a hat on top, and a cigarette (=S). Seriously...what the hell?

NB. You're probably wondering how could I notice all that....do I stare?
-____- No I do not stare...those guys are so out of place that it won't be so hard to miss them even if you tried...plus the colors they wear...Oh the colors they wear xD =S Far out!

Oh oh...when I say wannabe, I'm referring only to Arab guys =D Of course no generalization, so don't get me wrong here. But we all gotta admit, they're out there and there are HEAPS!

At uni, they're almost all over the place. They're mostly Saudi and Kuwaiti guys. Every time I see one of those guys dressed in that way I just want to laugh and it's annoying as well...for many reasons:

- It doesn't suit.
- No matter how you (you as in the gangsta wannabe's) dress up, you're still an ARAB.
- It does not look cool...AT ALL!
- They do look funny... -____-

I don't understand why they dress up like this (maybe they think it's cool...?)...because those clothes look weird on Arab guys...specifically Arab guys! I don't know why but they just don't suit! They totally look out of place as well...cos everyone around them is dressed "normally"...even the non-Arabs xD

Plus, SMOKING! SMOKING!! Far out! Smoking can/will kill you...just not straight away. But who ever smokes is just shortening their life span and it does not look cool at all (to those who actually think smoking is "cool"...are you kidding me?! =S).

Meh...but who am I to talk. Just an opinion xD

----------------

On the side...I have 3 mosquito bites on my left foot just around my ankle and they're all very, very, very well sized. They hurt so bad and they're very itchy!! Worst mosquito bite(s) ever...I have no blood left in me....lol...nah not to that extent xD

Conversation with a Parrot

Let me say first...the weather is so flippin' hot!!! I'm hating it so much!! =(

So I went out with 2 of my close friends today and what can I say...it was absolutely great! We had a blast 7amdulellah. I don't know why or how but we seemed a bit "high" because we were crazy and were saying a lot of stupid things that didn't make sense xD Even though I was super tired (sadly) and complained about it now and then...but I had loads of fun.

So we got to the mall at 2pm, sat at "our" place and had lunch. mmmm....steak and cheese burger combo from Flambees (a halal restaurant). We chatted away as usual then around 3:30-ish, 4:oo-oclockish we decided to have a walk around the mall, check out some clothes and sales. I bought a really nice white headscarf from Equip. Then we went to smiggle (I love this shop...it's so flash and cheerful xD) and I bought a black pencil case that has a little cute Ninja on the front...or back xD Ofcourse while we walked, we talked and joked a lot =D Anyways we decided to go to "Pet Corner" *heaaaaaaaaaaart* we looked at the little kittens and played with them. They're so adorable. Then we went into a little room that had all sorts of birds in cages. We "met" a parrot who talked. I manged to have a little conversation with him xD (I really liked him):

G:
"Hello"

Bird: *Stares at G"

G: "Hello!! Can you say Hello?!"

Bird: "..........HELLO!"

G: "Yaaaaay. Hello!!!!"

Bird: "Hello!!"

G: *stares at bird and tries to pat the birds head*

Bird: "You wanna scratch?!"

G: "Oh my God!! Okay?!"

The bird actually turned around, gave me it's back, spread it's wings and I scartched it a bit. Sadly I didn't get a thank you.

G: "Okay byebye"

Bird: "Byebye, bye bye"

Isn't that awesome!!! =)

Then we continued walking around, bought Ice-cream, sat at a cafe for a bit, then it was 5pm so all the shops had closed down. I know...can you flippin' believe it?! Malls/shops close at 5 effin' pm here! That totally sucks! Anyways we had to go, but the doors that we came through turned out to be locked. So we had to go all the way upstairs and use those to leave. It totally made the distance to make car even further. Anyways, we were at the top and I looked at the parking lot and there were absolutely no cars around O.o only my car...in the distance. So I was crazy and shouted out:

G: "Last one to the car is a ROTTEN EGG!!!"

We ran like craaaaaaaaaaaazy!! xD Except for L. She ran for a bit then decided to stop cos we looked stupid...*3 girls with scarfs on racing each other* xD Anyways me and S reached the car before L. So I said to S:

G: "Quickly get in get in and let's leave her here xD" *laughter*

S: "okay okay...UNLOCK THE DOORS!!!"

We got in, I started the car quickly, removed the hand brake as she was almost to the door. Reversed the car so fast and stepped on the accelaration pad so hard the car screetched xD L was so close but we just left her there xD Poor thing, she was laughing but had her hands on her waist xD I played around in the parking for a bit then I drove up to her. I stopped and she touched the door handle, I accelerated a bit, laughter xD...I stopped again, she tried opening the door but I was too quick...hehehe. I felt sorry for afterwards so I let her get in.

L: "You guys are so mean!! Why did you do that?!! It's so hot outside."

*laughter*

Then we drove home planning for the next outing...

The sad thing about this whole thing, is S has gotten really close to me...but she's going to be going to AUX in two weeks time for uni =( That suuuuuuuucks so much...it's no fair. Why does this always happen to me!! =( You become so close to someone then one of us has to go to another city for studies, or another COUNTRY for marriage, or whatever. Sad right?! =( It's happened so far with 4 people (the fourth being S).

Well that's enough for today =D

[Music] Egypt Central - You make me sick

Naaah...it's just the song that I can't stop listening to lately.
I found an acoustic live version of it while telling a friend about this song yesterday...I'm preferring it over the original. I think this band has got some hardcore guitarists (lead and bassist)...I really like how they mix things up and make the song sound really really different.

I like the ending when he sings:
"You make me sick sick sick sick sick sick" =D

Original Song with Lyrics ^^

[What's this?] Something about it

Now I don't hate the "innernet" (internet =P)....but here's something I don't like about it =D

Misunderstandings (O.O big word =P), facial expressions and tones!!

*Misunderstandings:

I've come across these quite often either when I'm chatting to someone or e-mailing someone. Especially if the "conversation" was serious. It's either I'm the one who misunderstands the person I'm talking to or the other way around. Now the thing is, these misunderstandings could lead to hurting the other person, angering them which may lead to some kind of za3al between the 2 people. Then we try to explain our selves...clearly and try to convince to one another that something else was meant.

After that it can go one way out of 2:

1- Things are sorted, everyone is happy and the conversation continues as if nothing had happened.

2- It goes downhill...where one of the 2 people doesn't believe the other or something. This is where the other "I hate" comes in =P

*Facial expressions and tones:

When you're talking to someone in real life you can see their expressions and the sort of tone they're speaking in...right? So this kind of helps with not misunderstanding (even though you might not know what's in the person's head) one another. Now, e-mails and sometimes chatting on msn/yahoo/etc, lack these "important" factors (expressions and tones =P)....in my opinion that is. Well, for me, facial expressions and the tone of voice tell me a lot of things when I'm talking to someone.

Talking about this won't change anything though xD
Though to avoid it...we can just be careful with what we're saying and who we're saying it/talking to (especially if they were sensitive) or when it's a serious topic meet up with the person instead xD

That's the end of my rant =D

------------------

Time is going super slow today...far out *sigh*
I really miss the rain!

Feb 3, 2009

It's funny how...

...you haven't seen or kept in touch with a friend for a really really long time. Then suddenly there's a chance of meeting up with them again. When you do meet up, the conversations are ENDLESS!! You don't get those awkward silences...it's just constant talking without any sort of formality or anything.

Now this friend of mine was the first friend I befriended when I was in my last year of high school back in 2005. We were (still are) very close back then and oh wow were we crazy!!! Last time we saw each other was at her wedding *cries* which was about a year ago and a few months (15 December 2007). We haven't been in touch either except for a hello now and then when it's some kind of specially occasion =( I know crappy right...there is no excuse to not stay in touch with friends! Since it's the summer holidays, she flew in from Dunedin (where she studies with her hubby...it's in the south island...miles and miles away from Hamilton) to see her family who are living in Hamilton. She got in touch with me through e-mail (her phone was messed up) and we ended up setting a time and date to meet up.

The "reunion" was today =P and oh my God it was PURE AWESOMENESS!! We totally enjoyed the time...and all we did was just talk and eat =P...for hours and hours (5 hours to be exact =D). The conversations just never ended. We talked about everything, from music, to cooking, to marriage life, POLITICS, summer holidays, school days, friends we haven't been in touch with...list goes ON!!!

I just found this all such a nice yet a weird (in a good way)...thing. You'd kinda expect things to go not so SO great due to being so far away from each other and the lack of communication between each other through out the years =)

I'm just glad I got to see my friend again...it's been a while (*sings Stainds song =P*) since I've talked (about ANYTHING/EVERYTHING) to someone and laughed SO MUCH (=O) with someone like this before!!! It was good =)

I truly miss all my friends that are living in different cities and those that are living in other countries...especially those in Jordan and Oman *cries*

In a happy mood + giggly (due to the extreme amount of food eaten xD)

---------------------

Damn it...we were walking through these clothing shops at some time and I heard SO many good techno songs that I've never heard before...and I have no idea how to hunt them down (6)

=D

Feb 1, 2009

[What's this?] Don't do this!

So I'm starting this new, let's call it..."segment" =P where I state something that I hate. May it be daily life stuff, food, games, actions, clothes, whatever. I can start a segment where I state the "something I like"...but there are too many good things in this life (right?) so it's just those few things that may annoy/anger/tick/etc you that DO stand out.

So here it goes.

---------------------

What drives me crazy and what I hate so much is when someone, who you've had some kind of argument/fight/disagreement/etc, which led to not talking to each other for a really long while (depending who the person is)...sends you some kind of message, may it be an e-mail a txt a comment (just as long as it's NOT face-to-face, I'll explain later)...just some sort of communication message, talking to you as if nothing happened between the both of you. *Long sentence O.o*

Seriously...What.The.Hell?!! I would really like to know what goes on in someones mind when they do something like this?

What's even worse though, is after you ask them ("Me" in this case is me, you, anyone):

Me: "Ah...excuse me. What do you think you're doing?"
*Sarcasm intended...though you try your hardest not to sound mean xD*

Then they lie (yes they lie) to you by saying something that should be "caring" (or whatever...it's just to make you feel bad or something...God knows) but probably does not mean a cent/baiza to you. Then you go reminding them:

Me: "Ah...remember when this and that happened last time we talked? What's changed?" ---- Something like this anyways (depends on the situation) =D

Then they send you "the" (read it as thee) reply that just makes things worse instead of making them better. Yup...you get something like "I'm right...you're wrong" or "I'm still going to think this way", etc...in a surprised way as if they weren't expecting something like this to come out from you.

Confusing and annoying right! Seriously *rolls eyes*

You start asking yourself questions like "So what's the point of talking to me if nothing is going to change??", "What do you want?", "Isn't this confusing to you as it is to me?", "Don't you feel weird or disappointed in yourself for doing this?", and "It totally back fired on you!".

There is a 99.99% chance of you replying with the first question but you won't be getting a reply back because the person would have realized by then what they've done is pointless, worthless, and useless. They have NO IDEA what to say back to you...

Now you might say to me...why don't you just ignore them in the first place.
Some of these people may be close friends to you...I mean come on! You can't ignore you're close friends. But a close friend or not...I'm an honest person, and I want to know what the HELL were you thinking xD so I will put you on the spot if I have to (6) *innocent*

Now imagine this situation face-to-face xD Oh...My...God (Janice's voice from F.R.I.E.N.D.S) xD

I'll write a short play (this did NOT happen in real life btw xD).
Person 1 is going to do the thing I hate.

Person 1: "Hi!! So what's happening with you? How's Naruto going? =D"

Me: *stares at person 1*....*laughs*..... "You're kidding right?"

I swear I would totally do those 3 stuff. I can totally imagine it xD

Just Aaaargh!!!! People!!! Don't do this to other people. If you're BRAVE enough...FIX the "problem" before anything so that there won't be an awkward/complicated/mean moments/conversations.

I have never done this to anyone and I will never do it either because it's just wrong! Wrong I tell yah...WRONG!!! 2 people have done this to me so far and AAARGH it was just...so...stupidly annoying!!

Well that's the end of my rant =P
Stay tuned for the next one -____-

=P
